US Space Force is a Real Thing
And they are serious, too!

Can't visit, there are guards.
I think when most Americans heard that we were going to have a "Space Force" it was from Donald Trump which made it seem silly. Maybe it would have been more believable if Elon Musk said it! BUt it's true, the UNited States now has a fifthe branch of the military and it is literally called "Space Force" and yes, their emblme even looks like something out of the TV show Star Trek!
When we visited Cape Canaveral we drove by the sign to the Space Force base. We knew we couldn't enter but my Daddy drove up anyway and asked the guard if there were any public tours of the base. The guard was friendly but very, very serious about security and after he laughed for about a half of a second he asked for my Daddy's identification. He took a picture of his driver's license because he wasn't there on official business and did not have security clearance to enter the base.
Then they told us to drive in about fifteen feet and turn around and come out again. So, I guess technically we entered the base! A successful five-second tour of the driveway ;^)
